A backwards compatible Need For Speed Collection From Hot Pursuit to MW Black List. From my first NFS to the last one I enjoyed. If this popped on Microsoft marketplace I’d hit purchase without hesitation. Maybe leave out Motor City, and Rivals.
You hear me EA, I’m trying to give you more money.id pay like 100 bucks for this collection.

These won’t all play on an Windows x 86 computer?

Yes, but I don’t own a computer, also I prefer console gaming, sitting on my couch looking at a TV

I’d argue it needs to go back to SE. There was a fantastic group of cars on that one back in the Pentium 133 days.

You’re probably right, I’ve just never played it. My first NFS game was Hot Pursuit on PlayStation. Then Porsche Unleashed. When Underground came out it blew my mind.

I want a good Command and Conquer port.

I actually stopped playing at Porsche unleashed, which was about the same time I started playing with racecars for real in high school.

I was still about 8 years away from even owning my own car

I want a remastered Nfw MW :(

Back to 1994 please, when Supras were red or black, not orange, and everyone ripped off the RHCP..

Back when ea games were good and not watered down shit.

I have many fond memories of High Stakes.
With the cheat codes, you could drive a bus. With another code, you could honk and blow off everyone's tires. A bus with no tires drives about as well as one would expect.

Hell yeah! I spent way too much of my youth playing NFS-2, loved that game!

Truth the newer one is just Burn Paradise. It’s an okay game, but it’s not Need For Speed

I still know the original MW map like the back of my hand...

El Nino for the win.

Same, and the sound track was great. Also Clio V6!

Carrera GT OP tho...
Although I kinda liked the Cayman S as well.

Motor City is something I’ve always wished I could have experienced.

LGR did a review I haven’t watched it yet tho. But I like his videos 1000% of the time so I’m sure it’s good

MCO was one of my favorite games of all time. So disappointed that EA killed it without a successor.

Leave out Motor City Online? First of all, how dare you?
Its one of the best car games ever. Building engines was the best thing...it wasn’t like “pick an engine, upgrade this to this level, that to that level”, no man. No you went and got a DZ302 SBC (if you had the money, if not you got the 327), pick your pistons from a list of like 20 types, same goes for heads, headers, intake manifolds, carburetors. Toss it in your Camaro and go race Muscle D at Goose Point, and still lose to this guy Bryan by like 9 seconds because he can afford a ‘73 Trans Am and came up with some setup which was an absolute killer.
MCO is an all-time great. And then they added like three Japanese cars and it all went downhill from there.

But wouldn’t it require online play? Something EA probably has no interest in supporting. Altho that engine builder sounds like a great opportunity for EA to ruin it with mirco- transactions

I’d be happy with a collection featuring Hot Pursuit 2 through to Carbon , since that covers all the Black Box PS2 games. That was NFS at its peak for me.

That’s valid. I wasn’t a huge fan of Carbon tho. Idk why. Maybe I should give it a second chance. Haven’t touched it since it was new. Me and a couple friends rented it and beat it in one sitting, and none of us ever played it again, just went back to NSFU2

MCO is long since dead. I remember when they pulled the plug on it...people were not happy. IIRC EA didn’t even refund subscriptions with a prorated amount. It was BS.

I’m with you on carbon. Did the exact same thing. Except I bought it not rented.

Hot pursuit 2 was peak for me. Underground onwards was great, but different. I miss the days when driving supercars
through beautiful environments was enough. It truly was a carry over from the ps1 games, where as underground was a new direction.

Carbon was incredibly similar to Most Wanted ‘05. Perhaps it was too similar. Arguably its setting was a little weaker to boot.
But all the ingredients were there
:
physics, customisation options, a
nd ev
en the cheesy
story characters
.
I
consider it pure NFS. You could always rely on the police chases for some enjoyment, at the very least. Not a bad swan song.

I’d agree Underground was a bit of a tonal
shift - and difficult not to
look back on ironically
.
But, in defence
, Most Wanted and Carbon took steps to bring marry some of the elements between games
. Police chases returned, as did the supercars. I can’t say the games became
any less cheesy though. They’re all products of a time
. ;P
